Perspectives on Board Room Diversity

As the word “diversity” has been bandied around in the corporate world to signify an ideal mix of races and genders, it has lost some of its meaning. Race and gender may play a role in an individual’s unique approach to problems. What’s most important to boards, however, is that its members represent a variety of life experiences, expertise and preferred approaches to problems. Such diversity ensures synergy: the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Board room diversity — what does board diversity mean to you? —
